HAVANA, CUBA | 500th Anniversary

James and I chose to go for a long weekend in Havana as our Mini-Moon. Cuba was the perfect destination as it was also our first trip together 3 years ago.
In contrast to our first visit, our experience with food was vastly better. We realized that stumbling upon good food is more miss than hit, so we chose locations through Google with 4.6 stars or more. This helped greatly.
The dates were booked based on our work schedules, but we stumbled on one of the best weekends to visit Havana. The city was teeming with music, fireworks and performances as they celebrated their 500th anniversary. Our AirBnB’s balcony even faced the capital building, where the largest fireworks display took place. All completely by accident!
