FRACTALS

2013

Fractals are used to identify structures in which similar patterns recur at progressively smaller scales. This model helps us better understand natural phenomena that is partly random and chaotic such as crystal growth and mould patterns. What can be concluded with this geometric framework is that everything in known existence is part of the whole.

The series is comprised of diminutive substances photographed without the aid of a microscope and sequenced in attempt to resemble a cosmic vista.
