You can't do anything about the rain but you can know when to be thankful and put aside the things that in the end were simply background noise. This lovely couple had one of those days and I'm thrilled that they put no emphasis on the rain, they were married and the day was perfect. Easy as that. Of course I'm thankful that the wedding took place at Au Vieux Moulin, gorgeous as always!
You won't see any of their ceremony in the gallery. I usually experience one minister per year who adopts a strict rule to shut out the photographer. This is of course a decision I can't argue with, so long as the couple agrees, I take instruction from them. The nice thing about this was V+D were upfront and said yes, we want to respect these wishes, and we were given ample notice. Something to think about for couples who decide to have a religious ceremony that might come with a set of rules. I'm never happy about not taking photos, but I'm satisfied if the bride and groom are. I can at least tell you that the ceremony was lovely.
Congratulations to this great couple, thank you for having me!
