Caitlyn + Paul: Married

It's difficult to know where to start when sitting down to discuss what Caitlyn & Paul's wedding was for me, but I'll try, starting with 29 years ago when I was born. We lived next door to Caitlyn and her parents; she was 3. Seven months later my best friend Carlee arrived. Inseparable all these years, their family is an extension of mine.

Caitlyn met a boy at a wedding, they danced, exchanged numbers, and even though he lived in Calgary and she in Montreal, they tried anyway and never looked back. Here they are! Their wedding day. Being able to do this for so many couples is a thrill and honour for me, but doing it for your family brings in all kinds of anxiety and excitement! The nerves to do their day justice, to give back all the love this family has shown me over the years, and try not to cry while operating a camera during the ceremony (C+P made that very difficult during their vows)!

What else can I say. I love you Cait and I'm so happy for you, thank you for trusting me!

Bianca + Bruce: Engagement

Introducing Bianca + Bruce on the blog today - I loved this session! We got a real sleepy hollow feel with the overcast day in the woods, leaves littering the ground and rich warm colours. It really let me push the editing in that direction without forcing it since it fit so well.

I'm super excited to have B+B as one of my couples tying the knot in August 2018! Possibly on this property as well, which should look so different and equally stunning. What makes it an extra special location is that it belongs to Bianca's Grandparents. Her grandmother lives many acres from these trails and on our way we passed the house her grandfather lived in before they met and married. Talk about high school sweethearts!

I had a blast at this shoot, congrats B+B!

'Espresso Your Love'

I'm thrilled to announce the project that has been a true labour of our love for months. Myself and a brilliant team of creatives banded together to generate an unforgettable vision heading into 2017. Our beloved espresso inspired event takes shape in this entry.

Katrina Schaller of Deka Events speaks on it's concept: '‘Espresso Your Love’ captures the pure essence of a country themed brunch wedding with a boho and modern edge. Located in the heart of Hudson, Deka Events conjured up local entrepreneurs and artists to collaboratively showcase their talents while creating the epitome of the coffee lovers’ dream. Accented with bold and rich coffee coloured tones and complimented with copper elements throughout; it is reflected from the table top accessories, to the delectable desserts, all the way down to the thoughtfully designed stationery.'

Our locally renowned barista, Elizabeth Glazier of Mikko Espresso & Boutique writes, ‘Our mobile services will meet your next event with a coffee menu designed to suit your tastes. From corporate events to weddings or seasonal fairs, enjoy a range of hot and cold espresso beverages, served by our passionate baristas.'

Also proudly showcased: Handmade boutonnieres, Mr. & Mrs. coffee cozies, a wildly spirited florist, beauty team’s opus, down to the savvy craft beer brewers.  All this charm took place in the rustic atelier where many old and unique items are given vitality.
