RAELENE + YIANNI | MARRIED

It was a thrill leading up to R+Y's wedding day, having met Yianni many months prior in Montreal; and waiting patiently until the rehearsal dinner to meet Raelene. She was an easy going, beautiful person, which goes for Yianni as well. Have I ever mentioned how nice it can be to know the groom before the bride, only for the sake that it's refreshing to see men so involved with photography? It's not always the case, I don't always get to see the men's perspective until the wedding day. Knowing his involvement showed that much more that the planning was important to both of them.

As I learned from the rehearsal dinner, R+Y met in Montreal while Raelene was living here short term. Parting ways was difficult when she eventually moved back to BC. The two now live out West and shared the wedding day with family here in Montreal.

We started the day getting ready at La Plaza, my assistant with Yianni and the men, having fun exploring the canal and some of the industrial brick that St. Henri offers. It was a nice way to step outside the busy streets of downtown, and contrast the modern reception space. The ceremony was a traditional Greek service that was just as lovely to watch as it was to photograph.

From the moments of planning the day up to the final delivery it was my pleasure to work with two lovely people such as R+Y! Congratulations!

Special thank you to Tania Stratti for her help in shooting this day!

Holly + Peter: Engaged

There have been so many of these snow storms in Montreal this winter, I'm so happy we caught the perfect one to be outside taking photos for H+P's engagement shoot! The drive wasn't particularly fun but I'm happy that I found this trail in the West Island, bordering Laval. I never would have known it existed unless, like this day, I was worried about driving too far and had to search locally. What a sweet find!

I'm so excited that Holly and Peter will be one of my couples getting hitched this summer! They were unbelievably fun and easy to work with. We walked the trails and they just did their thing. Everything was easy with them. I battled a little with my camera which so badly wanted to focus on the snow in between us. It was entirely worth it, how perfect is this setting?

Congrats to this couple, I'm beyond excited to share their wedding day, soon enough!

Jessica + Mike: Engaged

I met J+M last summer when Mike gifted a shoot to Jessica with their dog Bentley, soon after that they were engaged and we were talking about the wedding! They'll be early in my 2018 season and I'm so excited for it.

I haven't visited Pointe-du-Moulin before, or at least in my adult years, but I'm so glad the couple suggested it. The water was extra high due to the flooding, trekking around wasn't as easy as it probably is today but it made the area extra quiet and the woods extra moody.

J+M are so funny and sweet, I know they'll put together a memorable day and I'll have a blast being a part of it!
