Couple

Holly + Peter: Engaged

There have been so many of these snow storms in Montreal this winter, I'm so happy we caught the perfect one to be outside taking photos for H+P's engagement shoot! The drive wasn't particularly fun but I'm happy that I found this trail in the West Island, bordering Laval. I never would have known it existed unless, like this day, I was worried about driving too far and had to search locally. What a sweet find!

I'm so excited that Holly and Peter will be one of my couples getting hitched this summer! They were unbelievably fun and easy to work with. We walked the trails and they just did their thing. Everything was easy with them. I battled a little with my camera which so badly wanted to focus on the snow in between us. It was entirely worth it, how perfect is this setting?

Congrats to this couple, I'm beyond excited to share their wedding day, soon enough!

Leanne + Taymaz | Married

You may remember Leanne + Taymaz won last year's engagement shoot during my winter contest, I was so thrilled that they were exactly as lovely all of their family and friends had said they were (everyone who had entered their names). I was even happier to photograph their wedding day - at the stunning la Gare Viger; a huge effort by so many talented wedding vendors.

It was not what I would call a normal day, with Hurricane Harvey having reached us bringing buckets of rain. But it's as I tell all of my brides and grooms in the event of a wet day, there are always options; beautiful photography can be born in low light which we may not have used otherwise. The main thing is to remember why you're all there. If rain bothered L+T, I did not notice it even for a second. The venue did not disappoint, the place was decked floor to ceiling in gorgeousness.

I saw moving moments between their friends and family that only a wedding can bring out in people. It was a pleasure to be present for it! Thank you endlessly L+T for a beautiful day!

Special thanks to Bianca Diorio for the help shooting with me!

Dylan + Colin + 1

Dylan and Colin first made their appearance on my blog last year for their Auberge des Gallant wedding. Since then they've gotten quite the jump start on the rest of their lives together. They've bought an adorably beautiful home in the country which was home to a number of horses, and they're expecting a little girl very very soon. They haven't released the name to the world just yet but I did get a few heavy hints. No, I won't be sharing that!

I love shooting with this couple, they're such a creative couple with great personal style. When the camera is on them they have a soft genuine quality that fits their personalities so well.

I can't wait to meet their little girl when the time comes, all my love to their growing family! Congratulations D+C+1 !
