Stephanie + Perry | Married

Stephanie and Perry’s wedding in November was my last of 2017 and precisely what I dreamed ending my season with. They themselves are an exceptionally kind and giving couple. Even with the attention on themselves, they remained kind and accommodating to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves as much as possible. A prime example of the special attention you see below in the welcome bags prepared for guests from out of town. That is a truly beautiful thing to witness as a wedding photographer who attends hundreds of weddings. Beyond that, every detail was carefully considered and couldn’t be more them; or more stunning. A feat only possible by those as tasteful and hard working as Stephanie, Perry, Tania and Leora (Blanc Events). The teams behind it all were simply exceptional.

Espace 3550, also known as Parisian Laundry, is the perfect canvas for a chic city wedding of 180 people. You walk through the doors to a magnificently large mirror dressed with calligraphy and surrounded by buckets of florals. The space upstairs had an innovative circular set up which accommodated a mostly standing ceremony, which was stunning at all angles. A musician from Nashville, Tennessee was flown in to sing during the cocktails while a 3 piece Motown band played 3 sets throughout the reception. With Perry being in the music industry, there was no surprise that the night would include a number of talents, including Scratch Bastid, Grandtheft and Toddy Flores.

Images during the ceremony are kept for the couple and their closest friends and family, to retain some privacy of the day. I’m beyond ecstatic to share what you see, many aesthetic achievements and a choice gathering of loved ones.

My utmost love and congratulations to Stephanie and Perry!

A very special thank you to John Koo and Maurizio Solis, who helped me to photograph this event.

'Espresso Your Love'

I'm thrilled to announce the project that has been a true labour of our love for months. Myself and a brilliant team of creatives banded together to generate an unforgettable vision heading into 2017. Our beloved espresso inspired event takes shape in this entry.

Katrina Schaller of Deka Events speaks on it's concept: '‘Espresso Your Love’ captures the pure essence of a country themed brunch wedding with a boho and modern edge. Located in the heart of Hudson, Deka Events conjured up local entrepreneurs and artists to collaboratively showcase their talents while creating the epitome of the coffee lovers’ dream. Accented with bold and rich coffee coloured tones and complimented with copper elements throughout; it is reflected from the table top accessories, to the delectable desserts, all the way down to the thoughtfully designed stationery.'

Our locally renowned barista, Elizabeth Glazier of Mikko Espresso & Boutique writes, ‘Our mobile services will meet your next event with a coffee menu designed to suit your tastes. From corporate events to weddings or seasonal fairs, enjoy a range of hot and cold espresso beverages, served by our passionate baristas.'

Also proudly showcased: Handmade boutonnieres, Mr. & Mrs. coffee cozies, a wildly spirited florist, beauty team’s opus, down to the savvy craft beer brewers.  All this charm took place in the rustic atelier where many old and unique items are given vitality.
