Bride

RAELENE + YIANNI | MARRIED

It was a thrill leading up to R+Y's wedding day, having met Yianni many months prior in Montreal; and waiting patiently until the rehearsal dinner to meet Raelene. She was an easy going, beautiful person, which goes for Yianni as well. Have I ever mentioned how nice it can be to know the groom before the bride, only for the sake that it's refreshing to see men so involved with photography? It's not always the case, I don't always get to see the men's perspective until the wedding day. Knowing his involvement showed that much more that the planning was important to both of them.

As I learned from the rehearsal dinner, R+Y met in Montreal while Raelene was living here short term. Parting ways was difficult when she eventually moved back to BC. The two now live out West and shared the wedding day with family here in Montreal.

We started the day getting ready at La Plaza, my assistant with Yianni and the men, having fun exploring the canal and some of the industrial brick that St. Henri offers. It was a nice way to step outside the busy streets of downtown, and contrast the modern reception space. The ceremony was a traditional Greek service that was just as lovely to watch as it was to photograph.

From the moments of planning the day up to the final delivery it was my pleasure to work with two lovely people such as R+Y! Congratulations!

Special thank you to Tania Stratti for her help in shooting this day!

JESSICA + MIKE | MARRIED

You may remember J+M from here on my blog in the past. I met them 2 years ago when Mike offered his then long-time girlfriend a photoshoot with their dog Bentley. Only a few months later he popped the big question and we were planning another shoot to celebrate the engagement! It feels so long ago, though at the same time it's hard for me to believe they've been married today for two months. How does time move so slow when you're looking forward to something yet retroactively you wonder how it all went by so fast?

I was thrilled that J+M were the kick off to my summer wedding season. Rain did show it's face, but left us just enough time to capture our photos at the ever popular spot located en route to the Auberge. A huge thank you to this private property owner who took all my messages, ensuring we could use their beautiful tree lined property!

I've loved knowing this couple (and Bentley), since before the engagement, to now husband and wife!

Special thanks to Yannick Khong who assisted me in shooting this wedding!

Stephanie + Perry | Married

Stephanie and Perry’s wedding in November was my last of 2017 and precisely what I dreamed ending my season with. They themselves are an exceptionally kind and giving couple. Even with the attention on themselves, they remained kind and accommodating to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves as much as possible. A prime example of the special attention you see below in the welcome bags prepared for guests from out of town. That is a truly beautiful thing to witness as a wedding photographer who attends hundreds of weddings. Beyond that, every detail was carefully considered and couldn’t be more them; or more stunning. A feat only possible by those as tasteful and hard working as Stephanie, Perry, Tania and Leora (Blanc Events). The teams behind it all were simply exceptional.

Espace 3550, also known as Parisian Laundry, is the perfect canvas for a chic city wedding of 180 people. You walk through the doors to a magnificently large mirror dressed with calligraphy and surrounded by buckets of florals. The space upstairs had an innovative circular set up which accommodated a mostly standing ceremony, which was stunning at all angles. A musician from Nashville, Tennessee was flown in to sing during the cocktails while a 3 piece Motown band played 3 sets throughout the reception. With Perry being in the music industry, there was no surprise that the night would include a number of talents, including Scratch Bastid, Grandtheft and Toddy Flores.

Images during the ceremony are kept for the couple and their closest friends and family, to retain some privacy of the day. I’m beyond ecstatic to share what you see, many aesthetic achievements and a choice gathering of loved ones.

My utmost love and congratulations to Stephanie and Perry!

A very special thank you to John Koo and Maurizio Solis, who helped me to photograph this event.
