“We’re planning a small and intimate event, 50ish people. Ceremony around 4:30 in the field (might be a little later, I’d like to plan it around that golden hour light, it’s so gorgeous out there) followed by a catered farm-to-table style dinner under the big tent we’ll have up like last year. Live music for the event.
We don’t really plan on having the party portion there, but rather do dessert and after-dinner drinks followed by a trip into town to bar hop and dance at the Chat like the good old days.
I’d love to have you with us for some getting ready pics (our house and likely June’s for Matt ..so both within 4 minutes from the farm). It would be great to do a first look, our couple’s pics and pics with our kids before the ceremony. I don’t necessarily want the traditional family wedding pics but would rather we get them more organically throughout the night - which will be pretty easy with such a small group. So the ceremony would flow right in to apps and shortly after into dinner/speeches/first dance etc.
I would also LOVE to switch up the vibe a little at go into Hudson together for like bar shots pics and more fun/modern/party vibes. I’m even thinking how fun to do some in front of like Sauvé and other spots we love!
I’m guessing we’d be looking at like 2:30 ish in the afternoon (depending on ceremony time) to maybe 9?”

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY TIMELINE

10:00AM: Bride hair appointment in Hudson
12:00PM: Bride makeup starts (at home)
2:20PM: Bride arrives at farm, have flat lay items out for Emilie
2:30PM: Photography official start time - Begin with flat lay photo of personal items (Example: Ribbon, rings, shoes, flowers, etc.)
Bride remains inside
2:45PM: Matt arrives for First Look. Emilie will place him and collect Alana for the reveal.
Continue with family photos (Alana, Matt, Ellie, Carter)
3:20PM: Ask immediate family members to arrive by this time
3:30PM: Immediate family photos begin
4:00PM: Bride and groom welcome the guests as they arrive for cocktail
5:00-5:20PM: Ceremony
5:25PM: Cocktail begins
Will take some group photos casually throughout
Photograph guests painting the guestbook (watercolour pages)
Bride + groom sunset photos (10-15 minutes)
6:15PM: Toast by bride and groom + guests are asked to find their seats for dinner
6:30PM: Start of dinner (Family style) - First course soup
6:34PM: Sun has set
7:00PM: Once plates have been cleared, begin parent speeches (back to back)
Then second course to be served - Main course
7:40PM: First dance
7:45PM: Alana change of dress
8:00PM: Band plays a song*
Dance set - party starts!
Dessert table + Coffee cart are out
9:30PM: Photography end time
